Best of ELF Cosmetics

There are so many different products in their line, but these are my top picks.  One tip, wait until there's a sale, because I bought all of these products 50% off.

1. ASP Nail Filer.  I had to buy a new filer because my Sephora one got a little dull. I bought this one at Sally's and it files my nails in a jiffy.  It's strong and it will last me a long time.
2. Revlon Photoready Concealer in Fair.  I've been using this to highlight my face and it works like a charm.  I always purchased concealers 2 shades darker than this, but I needed a light and creamy concealer to perfect my highlight & contour routine.
3. Tokidoki Eyeshadow in Bulleto.  Tokidoki will always be one of my fave brands because I used to work at Happy Six in West LA & El Segundo.  They carry Tokidoki and Hello Kitty.  Sophie, the owner is and always will be the baddest boss ever.  She's down to earth and so sweet.  :)
Anyways, I loveee their eye shadows!! The payoff is great and it never creases.  I bought this color on sale on  This one is great for the crease and when you blend your kohl eyeliner on the lower lash line.
4. Maybelline New Vivids Lip stick in Shocking Coral.  Ok, they get an A+ for packaging. The see- through hot pink packaging is what made me buy this.  There are SO MANY NEW COLORS.   I needed a bright pink so this was a must for me.  It's pink with a touch of coral.  Since this color is so bright, eye makeup should be minimal.
5. China Glaze in Lubu Heels.  What a freaking awesome name~!!! It's a black polish with red glitter.  Awesome for the holidays!
6. Sephora Mineral Powder Brush.  This brush is versatile, it blends in my concealer, powder and liquid foundation, and I can use this to set my face with HD powder.
7. ELF Blending Eye Brush.  This is a dollar.  I use this for my crease and it blends my eyeshadow so well! I can't believe that a dollar brush can do wonders.
8. Bath and Body Works lotion in Sparkling Blackberry Woods.  It's fruity but has a dark and woodsy smell to it.  It kind of reminds me of Lady Gaga's perfume.
9. Simple Soothing Facial Toner.  Right now, I'm all about natural ingredients in my moisturizers, toners, body wash, facial wash, etc.  This cleans my skin and leaves my face feeling clean, instead of that stinging feeling.

Maybelline's Color Tattoo

I'm pretty obsessed with these creamy, highly pigmented eye shadows.  They came out with new colors! I tried the Gold Metal shadow last weekend, and it was really sparkly & glittery.  I use it as a base for my lids, and then layer on powdered eyeshadow on my crease.  These are inexpensive and a must try! The payoff is great and they don't crease.

Detoxing Soaking Bath

My weekly ritual is to take a soothing bath 2 times a week, or 3, if it was a rough week.  I use my mom's tub because it's basically a jacuzzi.

Make sure you have not eaten an hour before your detox bath, be sure to drink a lot of water.  I drink about 700 ml before my bath. Place your water bottle near by, just in case you get thirsty because you will sweat out the toxins.  This is optional, but I have my favorite candle lit near by to make my bath feel even more relaxing.  One of my all time favorite candle is by Bath and Body Works, in their Aromatherapy collection called Stress Relief.

I also use my trusty Songza app and play the "unwinding" playlist.
When the tub is 1/4 filled with warm-hot water, I then add 2-3 cups of Epsom Salt.  The one I use is Dr. Teal's Epsom Salt Soaking Solution Soothe & Sleep.

I don't like to soak my hair in a detox bath because it will strip my natural oils, so I put my hair in a high bun.  I submerge into the bath for about 20-25 minutes.  If this is your first time, make sure the water is warm and start by soaking for 10 minutes.
When it's time to get out, SLOWLY stand up and dry yourself off.
NOW, this step is extremely important!!! DRINK A LOT OF WATER!!!! You need to hydrate yourself.  If you feel a bit dizzy, keep guzzling water.
OK, It's time to shower, you'll need gentle soap and shampoo.  I use Dove Sensitive Skin Bar Soap.

I use Shampoo + Conditioner by Aveeno Pure Renewal.

I also like to lather myself up with a lightweight and fragrance free lotion, my favorite is Eucerin daily replenishing lotion.

Once I start to infuse more of the ingredients into my Detox Soaking Bath, I'll put up an updated blog!
<3 Enjoy!

November Favorites

I can't believe I'm writing another favorites blog already.  November flew by so fast!

Juicing. I juice about 5 times a week.  Now I basically know which fruits and veggies to combine to create that perfect concoction.
Here's a go to recipe that always satisfies my taste buds:
1/2 cucumber
1/2 beet
4 carrots
4 Celery ribs
1 apple
3 handfuls of spinach or kale
1/2 lemon with pith

MAC 209 Brush

I'm obsessed with this brush!! I use this for gel liners and it glides on so well.

Milani Eye Tech Liquid Eyeliner

Milani Eye Tech
I usually wear Clio's eyeliner that my mom picks up for me when I'm running low, but I decided to try this one out.  The pay off is amazing and I love how dark it is.  It's the best tool for a cat eye.

Urban Decay De Slick
Urban Decay De Slick

Love this product! When I wear liquid foundation, De Slick will help to keep you oil free for the night.  You spray it twice before you apply your foundation, and twice after you apply all of your makeup.,default,pd.html?start=5&cgid=4_500

Seche Vite Top Coat

Seche Vite Top Coat
Look no further. This is the best Top Coat.  I purchased this at Sally's and I've been using this for 3 weeks now.  The polish stays on longer and it has the most beautiful shine to them.  The product is thick, but it dries super fast.

Body Secrets Massage Roller
Body Secrets Massage Roller
I got this at Sports Authority and it works like a charm.  You just roll it over your body and you'll feel so relaxed.  I like to roll it over my chest, arms, neck, shoulders and legs.   You can also add oil or lotion into the hole... that's located on the flat surface.  :p
